Hey all,
Jeanne and I are finally out of the hospital, and boy is it a relief! She's perfectly healthy (turns out she didn't have an infection after all, but had to stay to finish the course of antibiotics). The hospital was amazing, and the doctors and nurses just wonderful, but its great to finally be able to sleep in my own bed.
Labour was harder than I'd ever imagined, especially since it took 27 hours start to finish. I ended up having an epidural, though I hadn't planned on one, but I have absolutely no regrets. Jeanne was having a bit of trouble near the end, and a cesarean was discussed, but that was just further motivation for me to try harder than even, and in the end I only pushed for an hour. I'm tired, and sore, but happy as can be. Jeanne is breastfeeding really really well, and it seems like I've got enough milk for a couple dozen babies, but its finally starting to settle down (after a few days of looking like Dolly Parton!)
Jake has been an incredible help throughout this whole process, and I am just so grateful that I chose such a wonderful and amazing man to be the father of my child.
And, for all our loyal viewers out there, here are a few more pictures:

Congratulations!!!
I am so happy for both of you. Your daughter looks beautiful, and it sounds like you are doing well.
I picked up a little something for Jeanne Marie in Peru, and I would like to send it, but I don't have your address. Please email it to d_abs@hotmail.com
