Moving, etc.

Fun day yesterday. Jake and I went out shopping and I got some new maternity clothes (pretty much all of my non-maternity clothes, even the shirts, have stopped fitting now). Old Navy has a great maternity section, though, and their prices are great. I got a pair of jeans on sale, and a bunch of shirts (all black and brown - all the bright colours made me feel like Barney the dinosaur). I also ended up getting a watch at London drugs (I've needed one forever, and its been driving me crazy). I got the best deal: a beautiful $80 Timex for $15 since it was the last one they had.

Moving week is coming up really quickly. They pack a week today (Monday), they load it all on the trucks on Tuesday, and we fly out on Wednesday. We'll be staying in a hotel with the cats as of Monday, which means a bit of a commute to come out to the house to supervise the movers. Tuesday is the last day of Jake's course, which means I'll be handling the movers all by myself (as well as most of the cleaning). Its so annoying - really, he was supposed to have a few days off before we were to fly, but no one wanted to take the responsibility of changing his posting date, even though its as simple as an e-mail. Just frustrating, thats all, since I'm not *quite* as mobile as I used to be.

We've gotten new carriers and bedding for the cats on their flight, so hopefully they'll be more comfortable than last time. It should be fun with them in the hotel, though. We've sprayed the carriers with cat nip oil, and left them lying about, so that they get used to them. I've even caught Wendy sleeping in her's, though something tells me it won't be so easy to get her into it when the time comes. They're going to hate having the movers here (though we'll be moving them to the hotel Monday night, they'll have to sit through the packing). Hopefully Purnicus won't try to kill any of them (any of you who have been on the wrong end of his ire know that this is a distinct possibility, especially if any of the packers are female). He did do really well with our friend Krystal, the other day, though, so perhaps he's starting to mellow? Somehow I doubt it.
